How can I make this better?
As Sean rolled out of bed, he could feel the feeling of hunger begin to take a permanent place in the bottom of his stomach. While grabbing his clothes from his closet, his mind wandered to the party that was only twelve hours away. Shaking his head, he continued to check the time, all at once making sure he wasn’t late. Finally choosing an old t-shirt and a pair of brown cargo pants, he quickly got dressed and checked the calendar. No mistaking it; tonight was the night. Taking a breath that he hoped would settle his roiling stomach, he walked out the door and made his way to Hal’s Diner.
He could see hundreds of people already out of bed, and shopping at the stores that lined up the streets. Many people were heading to the great field of Patropoli Tower where the party was to be held. They were rolling carts chucked full with wooden boxes, large canopy tents, and gallons of tea.
The morning sun broke the starry night as Sean rolled out of a deep sleep then his bed. Inside his body, he could feel the squeeze of hunger. The pang like a whirlwind was trying to find a permanent place in the pit of his stomach. Just up, nonetheless, it was time for him to leave. On his two feet, Sean grabbed without thinking an old wrinkled coca-cola t-shirt and cargo pants from his closet. With the sunlight streaming though the thin, blue curtains, his mind drift into a state of anxiety mixed with excitement. The party was only twelve hours away. Now fully dressed he checked the time again on this bedroom standup table and was shocked by what he saw. Time had barely moved. Shaking his head in disbelief, he continued to check the time as though he suffered from complusive obsession disorder. Time wasn’t controlling the moment, however, it was the anxiety and excitement that controlled the moment. He closed his eyes to get his emotions under control, but he felt now was the best time to leave for Hal’s Diner. He had a rendezvous with the future and he didn’t want to be late.
He could see hundreds of people already out of bed, and shopping at the stores that lined up the streets. Many people were heading to the great field of Patropoli Tower where the party was to be held. They were rolling carts chucked full with wooden boxes, large canopy tents, and gallons of tea.
