whats the difference between shaping cream and styling wax?
I have tea tree shaping cream, and dont really know how to use it. it didnt really work the way I wanted it to so I went out and bought styling wax and it worked perfectly. so was I using the shaping cream the wrong way? what is shaping cream supposed to be used for if I didnt use it right? I want to know b/c that was a 15 dollar jar! and I dont want it to go to waste. the wax I bought was 5 dollars, both are still expensive as hell.
thank you SO much krysten! I tend to change my hairstyles every now and then, and now I’ll know when and how to use it. I didnt even think of blow drying the cream! I like the ashton kutcher look sometimes(shaping cream, right?) and I like the kris allen look(straightener and styling wax worked there.) other times I’ll just buzz all my hair off and go for the chris evans look cuz I get so frustrated dealing with hair! thanks again!
shaping cream is for more of a blowdry, if you blowdry the cream into your hair it will hold it in place but wont have that “oily, globby ” look that gel or wax tends to have . guys dont usually use shaping cream unless they are going for more of a beatles hair style
