What is the best way to drink Spiced Chai tea?
I have a mug of chai steeping right now. The box says to add milk and sugar for a chai latte….are those pretty good?
Ohh.. so, you’ve gone down the road of the chai huh? Good choice! Let me tell you, it’s really a good idea to add some milk and sugar/honey to your chai tea. The milk and esp. the sugar helps to bring out the flavor of the cinnamon and cloves! The milk also makes the drink a bit smoother!
Also, adding milk and sugar does NOT make it a latte. If you added a WHOLE lot of milk, and added foamed milk on top, then it would be a latte! Just add a touch of milk, to a nice, lighter brown/tan color and enjoy. Also, steep the tea fully before you add the milk and sugar!
I’m glad you like the Chai, later on, you can make it from scratch! Whats also pretty delicious, and helps in digestion, is slicing up some fresh ginger, real thin, in the pot of boiling water for 5-7 minutes, and then using that water to make your tea!
