Better for you and cheaper too! Loose tea!
So, I did an experiment. I already knew that loose tea was so much better for you than bag tea, but I wanted to discover if there were any other compelling reasons to switch to loose teas.
Well, I found at least one! Loose tea is not only better for your health, but it is actually cheaper than the bagged tea too! Yes, that’s right, something that is good for you and cheap! Perfect! Of course, I couldn’t just stop there, I had to find out exactly how much cheaper loose tea was in comparison to that local store bag tea.
So, here you go, the MATH:
One box of tea cost $5.20 – containing 20 bags of tea – hence, making 20 cups of tea
One box of tea = 20 cups of tea
One pound loose tea cost $25.00 – making approximately 200 cups of tea
One pound of loose tea = 200 cups of tea
So, how much does each cup cost?
BAG TEA: $5.20 divided by 20 = 26 CENTS PER CUP OF TEA
LOOSE TEA: $25.00 divided by 200 = 12.5 CENTS PER CUP OF TEA
The conclusion: LOOSE TEA COST HALF AS MUCH AS BAG TEA PER CUP!
There you have it, not only is loose tea much better for your health than bag tea, but it actually costs half as much. You would be saving 50% on your tea if you made the simple switch from buying bag tea to only buying loose tea. There are plenty of suppliers! If you have a favorite brand of tea, check it out online, look all over the box. That brand most likely provides loose teas too! There certainly are some very impressive suppliers of loose tea out there! Why not give it a shot! What have you got to lose? NOT YOUR MONEY OR YOUR HEALTH. Really now, how often does that opportunity present itself?
