How To Create The Perfect Tea Party In A Kids Playhouse
A tea party in a kids playhouse can be a very memorable “kids only” event. Your girl will be happy to hostess this event and she’ll be excited when the big day finally arrives.
It takes a small bit of planning to throw an amazing event for your girl and her friends.There are many things to coordinate and plan like making invitations, preparing the food, steeping the tea and setting a formal table.
Start with the menu, which should be simple and have kid-friendly foods.Food that can be made or bought in the “mini” form are ideal for tea parties.Examples of food that could be made or bought in the “mini” form are: brownies, lemon pound cake, peach scones and cookies.
Great finger foods include strawberries, grapes, carrots, celery and snack mixes such as trail mix.Crustless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or ham and cheese sandwiches cut into fun shapes are kid friendly and go over well with children.
Foods that stain easily, create a lot of crumbs or are sticky should be avoided. Since the party is in a kids playhouse, these rules can be bent.
Generally tea isn’t liked by many kids, so you may want to offer pink lemonade, apple cider or fruit-infused teas.Don’t forget the sugar bowl with sugar cubes as kids love them but rarely get to have sugar cubes!
If you don’t have real tea cups, saucers or a tea pot, you can check your local yard sales, flea markets or thrift stores.The best tea cups for these parties are the ones that are smaller for little hands.Kids really like to stir their “tea” and add the sugar cubes with small spoons.
Real linen linen napkins and a nice table cloth make an elegant touch to the kids playhouse and the tea party theme.When you set the kids table, upgrade from plasticware and let the kids use silver flatware, china plates, real tea cups and saucers and a fancy tea pot.
Dressing up is something that most girls love to do; What girl doesn’t like this? You have the choice of asking your young guests to come dressed up or they can choose clothes from a trunk that has a variety of dresses, hats, boas, tiaras, high heels, gloves, purses, necklaces and bracelets. Perfumes, hair barrettes and make-up can also be available to the guests.
Your child will enjoy helping design, cut out, and decorate the invitations.Tea pots and tea cups can be cut out of cardstock or construction paper and decorated, with the help of your girl. Remember to request your guests to arrive at the door of the kids playhouse!
