Tea drinkers, I would like something besides black pekoe?
Iced and hot, what are your favorites?
I like Earl Grey, nothing too fruity but refreshing, with and without caffeine.
I have had fun trying different teas; coffee and tea shops, some restaurants, teas offered at conferences and meetings. I suggest that you sample some when you get a chance. Some tea and coffee shops offer samples; try them.
Here are some hot teas that I like:
Darjeeling and Oolong are two of my favorites. Jasmine is good too. You can try these teas at asian restaurants. Many grocery stores carry different brands of these teas, or you could venture into an asian grocery store.
I like both green tea and white tea. The tea leaves are treated differently than black tea, and so the taste is different. I also like mixes: Green tea with lemongrass is good hot or iced.
I like some herbal teas; these are herbs and not true teas (herbal infusions or tisanes). Chamomile and mints are great. Again; you can often find blends that are good.
For iced tea; I prefer green tea mixed with herbs. Green tea and lemongrass and spearmint leaves is good, and I take mine with no sugar. Lemon Verbena or rose hips are very good too.
Experiment! Trying different teas for yourself is really the only way to discover what you like the best.
