Everyone love chocolate, right? Well, if you are a chocolate aficionado, then you will want to spend a minute reading this. We know that chocolate when it is organic and prepared correctly, is actually a very healthy food to consume. It is known for its high antioxidant and magnesium content, as well as its feel good chemical PEA. Is there anyone on this planet that doesn’t want to feel good? I have searched high and low to bring you the very best of the best in creative, healthy edible chocolate as well as a few body products that use chocolate for their main ingredient. Without further ado, my list of the best chocolate of the year. (These are not in any ranking order)
Vosges Haut – A designer chocolate company making high end exotic chocolate bars, truffles, and gift ideas. They have 13 different exotic flavors of chocolate bars to choose from. Their gift idea categories are in price ranges from $10-30, $30-75 and over $75, along with gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, for him, for her, wedding favors and gift cards. They sport a large variety of truffles and even have a lunar chocolate of the month club! The Tea Room – This innovative chocolate company infuses their chocolate with TEA! They make 8 flavors of tea infused bars, and 21 flavors of organic truffles that can be purchased in tubs of 2 for $3.59 up to boxes of 35 for $52.50. There are lots of choices. Some of the flavors of truffles are Chamomile and Honey, Iddalgashinne whtie, Jasmine milk, Honeybush Carmel, Bedouin’s Mint milk and many others. Raw Chocolate – I have put several raw chocolate makers together here. Most are organic, and all are small chocolate makers with a personal touch and a sincere interest in health. Most of their chocolates are made with exotic ingredients and no refined sugar and are in the superfood category, having numerous healthy benefits. These manufacturers are interested in your health and have a high integrity when it comes to minimal processing of their product. Righteously Raw Chocolate by Earth Source Organics – has 4 wonderful bars. An Acai, Carmel ( made with Lucuma fruit ), Goji berry and Maca. They are 2.3 oz bars for $6.59. You may have to find these at one of the online retailers or call 1-760-510-1561 to find a store near you.
Conscious Chocolate – are for the UK. They make 14 flavors from essential orange to Love Potion #9 and flavors in between. Check for them online at conscious chocolate.
Uli Mana – is a small company from North Carolina making chocolate truffles, ( $15 ) spreads,( $22 ) hemp brownies ( $14 ) and other raw chocolate treats. Coconut Bliss – This company makes my all time FAVORITE ice cream. They make it in lots of flavors, 11 in all. Starting with chocolate peanut butter, dark chocolate, mint galactica with chocolate flakes and my favorite, chocolate hazelnut fudge. It is low glycemic, organic, fair trade, soy and gluten free as well as totally guilt free and good for you. They make it in pints for $6.59. Available at Whole Foods Market or check the web to find it. Awesome and worth every penny!
Art Coco – They make and sell a load of variously wrapped chocolates, for almost every occasion. They have fruit, cowboy boots, christmas ornaments ( that really hang from the tree ), dinosaurs, golf balls, pumpkins and more. The prices differ depending on the treat, ornaments are $6.79 each the fruit are $4.95 per piece with boxes available. you can find them online or at your speciality store. Switzco Designer Chocolates – They do fabulous and meticulous chocolates. They make designer high end chocolate for all occasions. Weddings, corporate functions, cake toppers, create your own design. Dagoba - one of the most recognized organic chocolate bar makers. They produce 18 flavors in a 2oz bar for $2.69 each. A great all around chocolate. Found in most stores in the US, or online at Dagoba.
Green and Black – a global chocolate producer of organic bars, hot chocolate, baking and ice cream. This company produces 12 flavors, and peanut coming soon, of 3.5 oz bars for consumers.
