Can I wear this skirt to an interview?!!!?

I have read several career columns on what to wear and what not to wear to an interview. I want to wear a knee length houndstooth skirt (black & white) with a white 3/4 length button down shirt and black closed toe shoes. Can I add a little color on the jewelry? Would small red teardrop earrings and necklace be too much? or should I keep it neutral and do silver jewelry?

Try to look professional,not cheesy and cheap. I went on an interview and I seen so many girls in mini skirt and low cut tops. Do you think seen them at work? Hell no.
