Max Teaching

I’m an experienced teacher who can only find work in max security prison. Is this a résumé stain?
I have taught adult education for six and a half years. I have a B.Ed. degree and I am certified to teach grade 7 and up. I can and have taught English as a Second Language, Language Arts, Biology, History, Math, Computers, Legal Studies and Community Health. Problem? The school I was working for went broke and the only job I’ve been offered is teaching at a maximum security prison. Suppose I teach math to convicted murderers and rapists – will that make future employers look down on my résumé?
No, its not at all a stain on your work history. In fact, working with highly resistant individuals will likely show you and future employers you have the flexibility and understanding of motivation techniques to teach anyone. It makes teaching middle-schoolers (some of the most resistant creatures known to mankind) easy in comparison. Good luck — and I wish you all the best, no matter what you choose!
