Is a can of Pepsi Max ok when pregnant?
I don’t have coffee, tea or energy drinks. Just want to make sure i don’t have too much caffeine but don’t want to give up my pepsi if it’s ok 
Better avoid it. Pepsi contains caffiene which in large quantities are not good for baby. You should not drink pepsis (or cup of coffee or coke in other peoples cases) Caffeine is a stimulant and a diuretic. Since caffeine is a stimulant, it increases blood pressure and heart rate, both of which are not recommended during pregnancy. Caffeine also increases frequency of urination. This causes reduction in your body fluid levels and can lead to dehydration. Caffeine crosses the placenta to your baby. Numerous studies have shown that caffiene caused birth defects, preterm delivery and increased the risk of low birth weight offspring, along with other reproductive problems. A few studies have shown that there may be an increase in miscarriages among women who consume more than 300 mg a day. Other outcomes included preterm labor and low-birth weight babies. It is safer to avoid caffeine as much as possible. Take fresh fruit juices instead.
