Lipton Tea

how can you make iced tea with regular sized lipton tea bags?
i’ve got a whole bunch just laying around, and i dont want to use them all up & come up with crap iced tea. Help?
No fail recipe here
1. Boil water in a regular 2 qt pan (amount basically depends on how much you want to make)
2. Once water boils put one or a few tea bags in ( i would say 3 or 4 works just fine). Tie the little strings together so you can get them out easier.
3. Watch the water until it turns a nice dark brown ( not too long or it’ll get bitter, but you want it to be strong)
4. While water is still hot, add sugar and/or honey to taste. I would say about a cup of sugar will give you that southern sweet tea taste.
5. Pour the still warm/hot tea into pitcher or other such container while mixing with equal parts COLD water.

Another recipe my mother always used.
Sun Tea
1. In a glass jar ( yes you can get them fairly easily, but if not any glass container should work [i.e. bowl, measuring cup...]), place 4-6 tea bags in lukewarm water
2. I suggest covering, not because it matters, but more because you don’t want outside-type things falling in. Once covered, place outside in the sun. (ok yes you do need a warm or at least sunny day for this)
3. Let it sit for a couple hours.
4. serve over ice and keep out a sugar bowl so that glasses can be sweetened individually. ( personally there’s nothing better than the little undissolved sugar at the bottom ^_^ )
