There have been a lot of buzz in the market about beverage replacement lately. People have been looking for replacing high calorie drinks with low calorie drinks. There was a time when cold coffee was favorite drink, but now the times have changed and people like to drink something which is refreshing and healthy at the same time. Iced green tea is something that has become really popular lately.
Well, if you think that green tea is something that you can have only when it is hot, then you are wrong. There are many ways in which you can make iced green tea, this is one of the most refreshing beverages. This is the reason popular joints like Starbucks have also started serving them. When the temperature is getting warmer it becomes really difficult to stay away from aerated drinks and sodas which do nothing good for the body. This year try to substitute them with other drinks like:
Green Lemonade Tea: If your iced green tea is getting a little boring for you then I must say that you can give it a tangy flavor with the help of lemonade. Just like Lemon iced tea you can add a bit of lemon to your iced green tea as well. This not only keeps you refreshed, but it also provides you with the much needed Vitamin C.
If you try to have Iced green tea without any flouring then you might not like it a lot, however you can fix this by adding sugar to it, if you are afraid of adding regular sugar then you can always add raw sugar or any other sugar substitute.
There is another experimental recipe that I tried and now I am obsessed with it. I am sure that you would like it as well. Blueberry green tea lemon smoothie. All you need to do is add some sliced blueberries to your regular green tea. If you do not want to spend time cutting the blueberries, then you can always buy it in the liquified form. If you like some other flavor you can try that as well like passion fruit, cranberry, pomegranate, strawberry etc. This way you can make your boring iced tea really tasty.
