What is the most effective pre-cardio supplement routine?

At the moment I am taking the following before going for a 40ish minute jog (with the intention to lose weight!)

You dont need any supplements. I have lost 35 pounds so far without using a single supplement. My jogs typically last from 45 minutes to an hour. And I dont take any supplements.
If I am hungry, I will have a light snack before my jog.

However, after the job, I might drink some lemonade because we tend to lose electrolytes through the sweat.
You can have gatorade or powerade after, but make sure you dont drink too much becuase they are loaded in calories as well.
