Glass Teapot Warmer

making a tea light stove?
I’ve heard of tea light stoves and i thought it was a pretty nifty idea. I have a small metal teapot and i thought making one of those little stoves would be good for keeping tea warm. I have plenty of things i could put a tea light candle in, like a glass tumbler or something,
but what can i use to put on the top of the tumbler as a “grate” to sit the teapot on, and let air into the candle? Something that wont burn.. I was thinking an old cd, i could Punch holes in it to let air into the candle, but will a cd melt in the heat?
Do not use a CD, it will melt, your best bet is to use a tin can and punch some holes in the side with nails and a hammer so that the candle has oxygen to burn, and make sure that you stand the whole thing on a non-burnable surfce such as a ceramic tile, glass may crack so I’d personally be quite cautious about it.
