How long do I boil the Lipton Green tea with Lemon Ginseng????

I am not sure if I did it wrong or what…I put the tea bags in water, brought it to a boil turned the fire off and let it steep for 3 minutes. It tastes SOOOO nasty. It just tastes like yucky water with a LITTLE lemon to it…Can you tell me exactly how you boil your tea and for how long…What is something healthy I can add to it for flavor??? Thanks so much!
This wasn’t for just one cup it was for four cups…I had 4 tea bags…So would I just bring the water to a boil then turn the fire off and and then stick the 4 tea bags in and let them sit in the pot for 1-2 minutes???? I want it to be cold so that is why I don’t want to just do one cup..Thanks for answers, I will choose a best answer.

You don’t boil tea. You boil water, then pour it onto the tea. Use either a tea pot or a cup/mug. Then you steep the tea in the hot water.

For best results, let the boiled water cool for about 30-60 seconds before pouring it over the tea.

For green tea, a short steep time is recommended. About 1-2 minutes.
