Take A Break In A Relaxing Bath
Running the perfect bath is a perfect mix of science and art. You’re left with the feeling of relaxation and peace when it’s done properly. If done wrong it can leave you in a bad mood and even with a headache.
The first thing you need is a peaceful surrounding and a tidy bathroom. A calm bathroom doesn’t really mean you have to start cleaning the basins before you start. Have a quick tidy up and make sure everything is put away.
Getting the water temperature perfect is the most important part of any bath. If you’re looking forward to a long soak then make the water a little warmer. Try not to make it too hot as this can damage your skin and leave you with a headache.
As the water is pouring out the taps let any gels or oils you have pour in with it. This will help give you all those bubbles as they mix natually with the water. If you’re using bath salts or any powder you need to make sure these go under the hot water too. They’ll melt quicker and their aromas will be more pleasant.
Now you’ve got the actual bath sorted it’s time to look at the rest of the bathroom. Turn the main light off and light some candles. Floating candles aren’t very practical in a bubble bath but some strategically placed tea lights round the bath could be perfect. If you want to chill out with a book or magazine something like a bathroom mirror light would be perfect. Bathroom mirrors often cast a subtle light intended just for one spot rather than having to light the whole bathroom.
The music needs to come next. The music needs to be relaxing and not something you usually listen to. If you have your regualr music on in the bath you’ll find certian songs remind you of certain thigns or people in your life. And this won’t be very helpful if you want to just switch off.
