Have you WATCHED The Lovely Bones MOVIE, if so, can my 10 and 6 year old boys watch it?
…I read the book and I know Susie Salmon was raped, murdered, and cut into little pieces. I’ve talked to my children about NOT TALKING TO STRANGERS, because you never know who’s nice and who’s trying to hurt you!! I believe this is a good theme movie to teach children what happens if you do talk to a stranger and you do what he/she says! However, I really don’t want to talk to them about the “raping” part…
Is the rape mentioned or even shown in the movie at all??!!!
Nothing is shown, it’s all emplied. And it’s not really mentioned. Email me and I can describe the scenes to you.
I let my 8 year old watch it and he was ok. Of course we watch Law & Order SUV together and I think some of those episodes are far more graphic than the Lovely Bones…
