Bamboo Tea Set

Bamboo design china marked “Hand Painted Mede (Misspelled as written on s) in Japan.” Set over 100 years old.
The hand painting is bamboo with leaves in black and gray. Also has kidney-shapped plates with room for cup. Trimmed in Silver. Has been in the family for over 100 years. The spellind of “Made” is misspelled “Mede” in Japan. I believe it is a krumpet and tea set – service for 4 – with a teapot and sugar and creamer.
I would doubt the set is more than 100 years old. Prior to WWII, items made in Japan said “Nippon,” at if it truly was 100 years old, it would NOT say Japan. It wasn’t until WWII that items coming out of Japan were required to put the English word “Japan” on items. Shortly after WWII it was “Made in Occupied Japan,” and then in the 50s, Made in Japan.
